About Tairn

Tairn is a black morningstartail, one of the largest and most feared dragons in active service. Black dragons are the rarest and, by reputation, the smartest and most discerning. Tairn does not suffer fools, hands out respect slowly, and once he has decided someone is his, nothing on the continent will move him.

Rider: Violet Sorrengail

You got Tairn. You are not loud about your strength, and you do not need to be. People sense it. You are old-fashioned about loyalty: you give it rarely, completely, and you expect the same back.

If Tairn chose you

• Hard to impress, harder to shake
• Protective to the point of terrifying
• Patient until the exact moment patience stops being useful

You as a rider

As a rider you would be the one others underestimate right up until the first battle. You carry weight easily and you do not ask for help, which is your gift and your flaw.

Your bond

A bond with Tairn is earned, not given. He will test you, mock you and watch you fail, and then stand between you and the sky. Match his stubbornness with your own and you will have the most dangerous partner at Basgiath.

Watch out for

You hold grudges like treasure and you can mistake contempt for strength.
